Tom Fleckenstein has been appointed by Governors on both sides of the aisle. Governor Robert Ehrlich (R) appointed him to the State Board of Elections where he served as Vice-Chair. He was appointed as Chair of the Trial Court Judicial Nominations Commission for Anne Arundel County under Governor Martin O’Malley (D). He was a member of former Maryland Attorney General Douglas Gansler’s transition team, and was Deputy State's Attorney for Anne Arundel County.
